SHANNON McINTOSH
Shannon McIntosh is an Academy Award® and BAFTA® nominated independent producer, and a key player in many facets of the entertainment industry. She is a go-to for some of the industry’s biggest directors and studios. With an extensive list of projects completed and in development, McIntosh enjoys producing content across a wide variety of platforms.
Currently, Shannon is producing a multi-picture slate in partnership with Globe Originals & Universal Music Group. This includes the modern-day musical drama Falling, directed by Dominic Savage and starring Simone Ashley, Evan Peters and Sam Claflin. Her recent credits also include a four-film martial arts slate for Paramount Pictures and Amazon’s Cinderella starring Camila Cabello, Nicholas Galitzine, Idina Menzel and Billy Porter. Prior, she experienced a career “high” working with Snoop Dogg and Katt Williams to produce The House Next Door, a follow up to Deon Taylor’s urban comedy Meet The Blacks.
McIntosh is perhaps best known for her long-standing collaboration with Quentin Tarantino. She produced the critically acclaimed The Hateful Eight, which received three Academy Award® nominations and earned Ennio Morricone his first competitive Oscar for best original score. She also produced Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, for which she received Academy Award® and BAFTA® nominations for Best Picture, in addition to winning the Golden Globe® and Critics’ Choice Award. She executive-produced the Academy Award®- winning Django Unchained, overseeing production and post-production. McIntosh served in the same role for Inglourious Basterds and Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse.
Shannon’s production banner McIntosh Films has distinguished itself in independent production through a multifaceted approach to content creation. Taking projects from inception through final delivery, the multimedia company has produced feature films, full length documentaries, music videos, branded content, and television specials.
She is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Producers Guild of America.
